Most of the Lexus vehicles from 1998 and up has the feature, technical term is "CBES" or Computerized Body Electronic System. it allow Lexus owners to change certain settings, like lights sensitivity, headlight on-time, interior illumination, door lock, sunroof and wireless remote operations just to name a few.
They are simple to do, all you have to do is visit Rallye Lexus and ask for a CBES brochure and see the list of features that can be customized for your car.

What is Bluetooth Technology ?
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while maintaining high levels of security. The key features of Bluetooth technology are robustness, low power, and low cost. The Bluetooth specification defines a uniform structure for a wide range of devices to connect and communicate with each other.
Many times I've been asked by a customer to pair up their phones or PDA's and through our conversation i'll always run into problems with describing what bluetooth really is, so the above should sum it up in a nutshell.
Although Bluetooth technology is a wireless link between multiple devices and allow it to communicate with each other, it does not guarantee that it will be able to work flawlessly with each other. Due to a wide variety of electronic manufactures making bluetooth technology capable devices and variation in service providers, compatibility and functonality is often effected. anything from a battery meter not being displayed on the phone screen to not be able to transfer phone book and contacts are just a few the current issues that we have to deal with until eventually a standard protocol is made.
Lexus had included a nice list of phones and PDA's that will work best with their bluetooth equipped models. also on the site you can find a list of functionality based on the phone selected that has been tested by Lexus.
